Product Manager / Content Director

As content director you will be responsible for all content themes, rationale, timing and mechanics throughout the year across all of our IPs. You will work closest to the creative director to ensure all planning is timed effectively with resource availability, theme rationale is effective and enticing for users and overall pricing, rewards etc are in line with the company’s expectations.

It is essential to be a good communicator as you will work with the creative team, admin and project management team, marketing, senior management and external partners such as some of the largest entertainment, gaming and creative brands in the world to plan and produce all content requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a Content Calendar and plan far in advance for when we drop both digital and physical content across all of our IPs (and some massive new ones we’re adding soon)
  • Decide on the content timing, themes and rationale throughout the year
  • Determine the drop mechanics, pricing, odds and rarities to model out all aspects of a content drop, going into details such as cost to complete, estimated value of cards, rewards, bundle pricing etc
  • Provide all card details for a drop to the admin team, including all treatment details such as collection scores, tiers, scopes etc
  • Provide the pack chances for the various cards to admin
  • Provide the creative team with details about the theme, rarities, and the scopes of who gets what card
  • Liaise with our manufacturing partners for planning physical printing timelines, production counts for us and retail, feeder counts and drop schemes, and provide assets on completion.
  • Work with our internal creative team and external licensing / manufacturing partners to produce physical signature cards and logistics of getting them signed at events and then sent to printers for packaging in the physical product in a timely manner to avoid production delays
  • Develop the achievements system and rewards for our digital users
  • Develop drop odds and content for our free spinner
  • Develop content and drop mechanics to take full advantage of our various options within the app, such as paid packs, free spinner, crafting, achievements and our rush game.
  • QA all content before release for digital and physical
  • Ensure our admin and drop sheets are kept up to date with all the latest roster changes
  • Plan and keep an eye on live event dates and plan content around them accordingly
  • Develop ideas for new release types / mechanics and liaise with dev about potential new feature requests
  • Help with asset upload, treatment and pack creation, and physical print jobs within our admin
  • Understand our fans/users and deliver content that keeps them happy and returning

About you

  • Exceptional planning, foresight and organizational skills
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Knowledge of our IPs such as CSGO esports, PUBG Mobile, etc
  • Knowledge of traditional trading card collectibles and the digital NFT ecosystem
  • Skilled with Google Sheets
  • Full of new ideas around content and delivery and ready to drive innovation
