Web3 Engineer

Slingshot is a decentralized trading platform that aggregates liquidity on decentralized networks like Ethereum in order to offer better prices on thousands of crypto-assets. Slingshot is built on decentralized rails, empowering our users with unrestricted access to financial markets and full control over their funds.

We have just released our closed-beta and are looking to expand our team with an S-tier Web3 engineer to expand the functionality of Slingshot’s trading platform.

Responsibilities

• Implement support for new DEXes and AMMs, such as Bancor and Kyber, within the Slingshot backend
• Contribute to the design and development of a state of the art decentralized trading platform
• Identify bugs, write tests, and propose improvements to maintain the quality of the Slingshot code base
• Take initiative in improving the Slingshot product to address pain points in your own experience as an engineer
• Keep up to date with the latest protocol developments in DeFi
• Navigate a rapidly evolving environment

Requirements

• In-depth DeFi ecosystem knowledge
• Proficiency in Typescript
• Experience with Solidity, OpenZeppelin libraries, Hardhat, and Ether.js
• DeFi product experience
• Thorough understanding of the Web3 stack

Nice to have

• Worked with AMM or DEX protocols
• History of contributions toward FOSS blockchain projects
• Experience participating in yield farming, liquidity provisioning, and/or other DeFi primitives
• Understanding of tokenomics and financial models
