Job Summary:
We are seeking a Head of Business Development to lead revenue growth at Block Scholes across our data, analytics, and research product lines. Working closely with the founder and C-suite, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping both our commercial strategy and product development roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of crypto and derivatives markets. A proven track record in data sales, investment banking sales, or strategic exchange partnerships will be a strong plus. Our team brings together experience from both traditional finance and high-growth startups. We welcome candidates from all these backgrounds, though familiarity with the dynamics of a fast-paced startup environment is a plus. This role will oversee a team and be responsible for building deep, trusted relationships across the crypto ecosystem as well as traditional finance. The Head of Business Development will also oversee the expansion of our research retail distribution efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth across all Block Scholes product lines.
- Build and manage senior relationships with key stakeholders in DeFi (exchanges, protocols, foundations) and TradFi (hedge funds, asset managers, banks).
- Own and grow the commercial pipeline: source leads, structure deals, and close contracts with strategic partners and clients.
- Lead a Business Development team, setting targets, providing coaching, and aligning team efforts with company objectives.
- Work closely with Tech, Quant and Research teams to shape product direction based on client needs and market trends.
- Strengthen Block Scholes brand by overseeing the retail research distribution strategy and representing us at conferences and industry events.
