Job Characteristics:

  • Payment fully in liquid crypto

  • Any time zone will do, but time zone similar to assigned region is preferred.
  • Flexible but sometimes demanding hours.

We are hiring multiple people for this role in various regions, which are determined primarily by local language rather than geographic location.

The regions we are hiring for include but not are not limited to: LATAM+Spain, Portugal+Brazil, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia+Malaysia, India, China, and Turkey. If you have a strong crypto network in a region not listed here, we can also consider your application.

Job Description:

As the Regional Business Development Manager of Alpaca Finance, you will:

  • Research and identify new business and partnership opportunities.
  • Educate the market on Alpaca Finance’s products.
  • Grow Alpaca’s presence to the regional market.
  • Execute BD pipeline and coordinate with the Head of Business Development on business requirements.
  • Establish and grow Alpaca’s regional social media communities.
  • Hire and manage regional network of volunteers and community admins to moderate social media communities.
  • Identify and work with regional influencers and communities, doing AMAs, co-promotions, publications, etc.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders and projects in the regional ecosystem.
  • Source leads and close deals for current and future partnership programs.
  • Coordinate with regional centralized exchanges for listings.
  • Contribute during the BD team’s discussion on roadmap, processes and strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of regional crypto/DeFi landscape including key influencers, communities, and stakeholders
  • An existing network in the regional crypto/DeFi community is a big plus
  • 1+ year of experience in a Sales/BD role at a crypto project OR 3+ years of experience in in a Sales/BD or related role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluent in regional language and at least competent English)
  • Strong personal knowledge of how BD works in the crypto space
  • Competent sales and negotiation skills
  • Team-builder, people person
  • Driven, persistent, self-motivated
  • Experienced with working in remote teams

We have a 100% remote working arrangement, so applicants from all regions and time zones are welcomed and travel will not be required. Compensation for this role will all be in 100% liquid crypto. The salary will be base plus performance incentives, negotiable according to your experience/profile.
