Governance Analyst

xToken Labs is hiring a cryptoeconomic governance expert eager to shape and facilitate the next wave of decentralized finance adoption. This analyst will bring a curiosity for Ethereum, DeFi and financial derivatives, as well as an ambition to play an active role in the larger crypto community.

We expect our new hire to be a major contributor to the development of Mandated Governance – a core component of the xToken value proposition – as well as materially contribute to other facets of the organization.

A successful candidate will be ambitious, curious, and self-directed. The candidate should have a genuine and deep interest in the intricacies of governance. They should be comfortable working in a high velocity, rapidly evolving, and ambiguous design space. They should be enthusiastic about taking ownership of a number of internal and external workflows, with an eye to growing alongside the protocol and team. They should be a succinct and effective communicator, capable of bridging multiple worlds. The candidate should have a demonstrated record of involvement in various areas of the DeFi space.

Some but not all responsibilities include:

• Tracking all governance developments in current and prospective xToken assets
• Developing Governance mandates
• Applying mandates to new xToken assets as they are released
• Explaining rationales for xAsset governance votes
• Communicating with a variety of stakeholders and communities on governance issues as a representative of xToken
• Fund monitoring and administration
