Regen Network Development, Inc is the core development team of the Regen Ledger, a blockchain to track, verify, and exchange ecological assets at scale. RND Inc also acts as the lead maintainer of the Cosmos SDK, an industry-leading blockchain toolkit for building community-owned decentralized networks which Regen Ledger utilizes.

The Cosmos SDK and the rest of the Cosmos technology stack, Tendermint Core, Cosmos Proof of Stake modules, and IBC, are used today by many decentralized networks — securing billions of dollars in cryptocurrency market capitalization.

About the Role

The Cosmos SDK Technical Product Manager organizes, manages, and facilitates the development process of Cosmos SDK development from requirements gathering to delivery and documentation.

This role will collaborate and coordinate with various Cosmos/Interchain stakeholders and engineering working groups internally and externally of RND, Inc to ensure the Cosmos SDK is a best-in-class blockchain software development kit.

The Cosmos SDK powers is one of the fastest-growing ecosystems in the blockchain industry with multiple networks at scale, running into hard, real-world blockchain problems. This is the perfect position for an experienced Technical Product Manager and/or former Software Engineer, who is excited to work in a key role accelerating the development of a quickly maturing ecosystem while tackling difficult technical challenges.

Requirements

• Act as the bridge between RND, Inc and Cosmos ecosystem engineering teams and stakeholders working across multiple SDK modules and working groups
• Be the voice of the engineering working groups to the wider community and the voice of the community to product engineering sprints.
• Ensure clarity and integrity of requirements between SDK working groups as well as internal and external stakeholders.
• Craft and synthesize requirements into prioritized backlog and roadmap for the SDK, coordinating the larger SDK program and its different workstreams.
• Take an active role in seeking and supporting user and developer feedback as a regular part of product development activities and adjusting requirements and backlog/roadmap iteratively.
• Create and promote a positive culture of cooperation, ownership, accountability, innovation, and delivery.
• Champion a “work-in-public” approach to the open source development of the Cosmos SDK, maintaining & structuring processes, venues, and artifacts to provide spaces for engagement, visibility, and transparency into the SDK development
• Write, curate, and deliver excellent artifacts (documentation, blog posts, Twitter threads, tutorials, feature issues, readme, release notes) that match the standard of a world-class blockchain SDK
• Actively build ecosystem relationships to invite contribution and engagement in SDK working groups and modules

Your Background & Skills

• Engineering background, 2+ years of professional software engineering experience. Ideally as a user of both Golang and the Cosmos SDK
• 5+ years professional experience in Technical Product Management and other technical roles
• Successful track record managing sophisticated programs and projects, ideally with distributed teams
• Deep technical understanding of blockchain technologies and/or distributed systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• You have successfully worked on an Open Source project and are familiar with the risks and rewards of working in public view
• You are fascinated by working with a growing ecosystem of many independent blockchains and have an ability to attract them into collaborations.
• You effectively collaborate with co-workers across multiple sites and time zones
