Humanity Forward successfully worked with allies on Capitol Hill to pass the $600 stimulus checks in December 2020 and was an integral part of the coalition lobbying for the $1,400 stimulus checks in March 2021. In addition, HF lobbied for the increase to the child tax credit (CTC), which included the revolutionary factor of CTC becoming a fully refundable monthly payment by the IRS starting this July 2021. Legislation this transformative has the power to end poverty in America.

Role

Humanity Forward is a growing, dynamic, talented, and mission-driven organization. We are seeking a Senior Crypto Fundraising Consultant to join our Finance team. This vital position is responsible for assisting HF’s national fundraising strategy and cultivating relationships with prospective and existing crypto donors in their own network.

This role is responsible for key development verticals, including but not limited to: corporate partnerships, philanthropic donors, family foundations, grants, donor-advised funds, investments, cryptocurrencies, individual donors, and grassroots fundraising. The Senior Fundraising Consultant reports directly to the Finance Director.

This position requires:

• a expert understanding of cryptocurrencies;
• an enterprising individual with an eye for unique fundraising opportunities;
• a practiced ability to communicate HF’s story, impact, and vision to prospective donors; and
• self-discipline to maintain and strengthen donor relationships over time.

This position is remote, but preference will be given to candidates in or near major metropolitan areas. When Covid-related travel restrictions are lifted, this position will be expected to travel for fundraising events and donor meetings as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify new and existing crypto relationships and develop strategies to solicit and cultivate those relationships
• Articulate the benefits of cryptocurrency in philanthropy​ and how crypto donations can Increase in value and impact
• Plan large donor fundraising events and top donor receptions
• Work with event hosts to create, promote and manage the development of fundraising events
• Report progress to the Finance Director on a weekly basis
• Documents all development activity related to gift solicitations and donor and prospect stewardship and general information in the donor/prospect database
• Develop marketing collateral related to fundraising in collaboration with our advocacy and communications team
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum of 6-8 years of non-profit fundraising experience
• Successful track record in securing major gifts through a variety of channels
• Proven organizational skills as well as experience in designing and executing comprehensive fundraising processes and procedures
• Influencer, surrogate and celebrity fundraising experience
• Self-motivated, results oriented, superb presentation/communication skills with the ability to distill complex analyses into insights and recommendations
• Creative and energetic in introducing and championing new ideas and secure transformational philanthropy
• Ability to meet deadlines and fundraising goals
• Works well under pressure and a positive and collaborative attitude when managing groups and overseeing initiatives
• Experience fundraising in the crypto community with a proven track record.
• Bilingual or multilingual is a bonus but not required

This position may be a contractor or full time employee depending on experience and qualification. This position offers competitive compensation as well as incentive based compensation.
