Digital Asset Strategist

Role

The VP, Digital Asset Strategist will build relationships and drive business growth across a variety of critical areas of the Fidelity Digital Asset Management (FDAM) business. This role involves expanding the institutional adoption of FDAM solutions delivered through traditional vehicles (i.e., ETPs) as well as a tokenized structure. Additionally, this role will establish and build relationships across the crypto-native ecosystem, opening new distribution opportunities for tokenized solutions. Key focus areas include the following:

• Digital native Tokenization Distribution: Working with the Head of Digital Asset Strategists, develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for tokenized asset distribution, identifying target markets, diverse use cases, and competitive positioning.
• Institutional Digital Asset ETP Distribution: Working with fellow members of the Digital Asset Strategist Team and Fidelity’s distribution partners, develop and execute a strategy to continue institutional adoption of FDAM’s ETP structured solutions. Identify Hedge Fund and other institutional ETP users and grow the relationships to gain increased adoption of FDAM ETPs Identify key institutional centers of influence (i.e., HF consultants) and establish and grow those relationships to gain increased adoption of FDAM ETPs.
• Institutional Capital Market Relationship Management: Working with the FDAM trading team and other business partners, build relationships with market makers and potential ETP options users.
• Product Development Feedback: Provide market and client feedback to inform product design and structure.
• Thought Leadership: Partnering with investment, risk, data science, and digital asset strategist teams in creating and enhancing investment content and thought leadership for product positioning.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• 10+ years of experience in client-facing investment related roles, articulating various portfolio positioning across asset classes. Experience with institutional clients is a must. CFA preferred.
• 3 years of crypto experience with a solid understanding of market trends, innovations and regulatory considerations that could impact digital assets. A firm understanding of the competitive landscape for crypto investment products, investment criteria and regulatory framework in US.
• Strong understanding of various investment product structures including private funds. Knowledge of the ETP structure and ETP capital market dynamics is a must.
• Ability to grow existing relationships and establish new ones with emerging client segments.
• Strong track record of collaborating across business units to achieve goals.
• Data-driven focus to better inform portfolio positioning, product design, and client segmentation.
• Experience and demonstrated success working in a high performing team environment experiencing rapid growth and change in a diverse, financial services firm.
• Highly effective communicator with excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong educational credentials: CFA, MBA, or equivalent graduate degree preferred.
• Series 7 & 63 licenses (can be obtained while in role).
