Data Analyst

We are seeking a Data Analyst to manage data, automate reporting, and develop Web3 analytics. You will help design and evolve an accounting and analytics system for crypto, with the potential to become a standalone product. This is a unique opportunity to build and scale crypto data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal and external operational data (structure, metadata, access control, storage, data dictionaries) and advise the team on available datasets.
• Maintain transaction and accounting systems; monitor trading compliance.
• Perform secondary data processing and produce structured reports.
• Draft clear technical requirements (BRDs) for data engineers to collect raw data and implement corrections in existing databases and reports.
• Visualize data and develop dashboards (e.g., Metabase).
• Act as both producer and stakeholder for reporting: gather requirements, prioritize, and manage delivery for report consumers.
• Enhance existing financial processes and automate routine workflows; write precise, detailed specifications.
• Query blockchain nodes and analyze on-chain logs.

Requirements & Skills

• 1+ years of experience in data analysis or adjacent fields (Crypto, CS, Engineering, Math, TradFi/ FinTech).
• Proficiency working with smart contracts and blockchain protocols.
• Python: pandas, numpy, requests, sqlalchemy, web3 modules experience is a must.
• Strong SQL (PostgreSQL).
• Ability to analyze complex datasets and synthesize actionable insights.
• Ability to define and document technical requirements for development processes (BRDs/PRDs).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain long-term stakeholder relationships.
• Traits: perseverance, results-oriented mindset, attention to detail, punctuality, structured thinking, and a preference for root-cause fixes over temporary patches.

Location & Time Zone: Any time zone is acceptable; our team is primarily in the US and Asia. We require overlap with at least a portion of US trading hours.
