Crypto Fund Junior Protocol Analyst

Decentral Park Capital is a multi-strategy cryptoasset investment firm, led by a senior team of seasoned entrepreneurs and financiers, veterans of the blockchain industry.

We are looking for a Junior Protocol Analyst to join our ranks and help drive the due diligence process for cryptoassets within the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. You will act as an important ‘antenna’ for the fund, participating in nascent communities, reviewing Solidity contracts and deployments, and providing insightful and actionable analysis of investable opportunities within DeFi.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide due diligence for a wide-range of promising early-stage protocols and applications within DeFi, including a review of the smart contract architecture and code
• Compile written analyses of potential returns from investment and/or network participation, including liquidity mining and staking
• Provide video tutorials of investable protocols to the Decentral Park team showcasing the UX and product(s)
• Support the team with general research tasks

Background/Qualifications:

Strong Preference:

• Good understanding of cryptoassets and Decentralized Finance
• 1+ years of blockchain experience in data science or research
• Previously worked closely with layer 1 and layer 2 protocols (building, investing, researching)
• Experience with Solidity auditing and/or scripting and understanding of software development
• Track record of relationship building & community development
• Excellent time management and multitasking ability
• Motivated and ambitious individual taking the initiative without needing direction
• Excellent English communication skills

Nice To Have:

• Background in engineering, computer science, or economics
• Experience working with, and deriving insights from, on-chain data
• Experience on high performing teams, bonus points if within crypto
• Experience with SQL and Python scripting
