Junior Trader - Asian/European Market Hours

Global proprietary trading firm with over 25 years in the business is looking to expand their crypto desk which has been active since 2017.

Job Summary

Junior Trader will work closely with experienced traders and developers on our Crypto Trading Desk to support risk management and monitor algorithmic execution systems. This opportunity is for an individual looking for a high growth opportunity in a fast-paced working environment with a passion for the capital markets.

Crypto markets are highly dynamic, 24/7 markets with new and interesting opportunities. Junior Trader applicant doesn’t need experience in crypto markets but should be excited by the prospect of diving in and learning about the space.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide backup coverage for risk and trading responsibilities
• Leverage financial understanding with python and database proficiency
• Provide analytical reports covering risk, execution, and P&L
• Improve trade and market data reporting
• Enhance internal database queries
• Assist in communications with all stakeholders and support operations
• Assist in maintaining transaction records and work with internal partners to update/develop material

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Physics, Computer Science or Business
• Proficient in Python
• 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry
• Experience in or deep understanding of the financial markets
• Interest in Crypto markets
• Attention to detail under pressure
• Experience in the financial industry
• Proven experience coordinating and completing assigned tasks, independently, accurately, and on a timely basis
• Results-oriented individual, with a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving
• Strong verbal and written communications skills, team-oriented approach
• Database administration (storage and warehousing)
