The Company

Collective Shift is on a mission to help everyday investors navigate the world of cryptocurrency through community and education. We’re a growing scale-up company with team members based in multiple countries but predominantly Melbourne, Australia.

In October 2020 we launched our education and research platform that now hosts over 3,500 members. We’re looking to rapidly scale our company to deliver our platform globally.

The Role

We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our growing team and report to our Head of Research & Content. The role is fully remote. (If you’re in Melbourne, you can work in our Brunswick office however often you wish.)

This role will be heavily based on researching and creating research-backed content for our membership platform. A deep understanding of 1–3 components of the crypto landscape—such as DeFi, NFTs, governance, blockchain-specific ecosystems gaming and/or scalability solutions—is a must.

You will be responsible for identifying the most important content for our community and consistently delighting them with your informed opinions on individual projects, sectoral trends and the state of the cryptocurrency market.

As a start-up in the crypto industry, we tend to work in an extremely fast-paced environment. The ability to be flexible and agile in your role is paramount to success in the business, as your role may evolve rapidly.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Researching new projects in the crypto ecosystem and translating findings into opinionated and actionable content for our members.
• Analysing and predicting market trends, and clearly communicating findings.
• Creating a range of content mediums including, short text-based updates, long-form reports, and video and audio content.
• Identifying and pursuing research topics independently and/or as part of an assigned effort.

Skills & Experience

• At least 2 years of professional experience in the crypto industry, or an otherwise demonstrated deep knowledge of the crypto industry.
• Written and verbal communication is your forté; you can distil complex topics into something clear and succinct, and can also liaise effectively with colleagues and members.
• A self-starter who takes initiative and is energised even when a clear path isn’t laid out for you. Impeccable attention to detail.
• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks, plan workloads and work to deadlines.
• An understanding of economics, finance and/or trading is a plus. -Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, WordPress is a plus.
