Overview: The Chamber of Digital Commerce is looking for a subject matter expert in digital asset mining to oversee a coalition of North America’s leading mining companies. The coalition’s goal is to support the growth of the digital asset mining industry in North America through education and advocacy campaigns.

Responsibilities:

• Work in partnership with Chamber leadership team to develop and drive the strategy for the mining coalition
• Work with Chamber members to develop a comprehensive and compelling narrative on mining, addressing a number of public issues, including but not limited to climate impact
• Work collaboratively with Chamber members to develop policy positions that promote and encourage bitcoin mining in the U.S.
• Research, draft, and publish compelling educational materials.
• Develop and execute an education and advocacy campaign around digital asset mining
• Identify potential collaborators, critics, and individuals key to the Initiative’s success
• Represent the Chamber periodically in public speaking engagements and be a resource for the Chamber’s communications team in responding to media inquiries.
• Conduct outreach with government officials and policy stakeholders to advance the Chamber’s mission.

Qualifications:

• Subject matter expertise in digital asset mining and energy policy.
• Demonstrated ability to research and defend a position with data
• Ability to translate technical information into colloquial language for a broad audience of stakeholders
• Stellar writing and research skills
• Proven track record of building collaborative groups around a common mission
• Working understanding of environmental protection policy goals
• Background in public affairs or government relations preferred.
