Aspen Digital is looking for a Research Analyst!

Aspen Digital is a leading technology and financial services company accelerating the mass adoption of digital assets. As a research analyst, you will produce unique insights about the digital assets industry that institutions and corporate executives around the world need. We are looking for motivated people, comfortable within a flexible early start-up environment, capable of taking initiative and driving new ideas forward.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain deep technical understanding of crypto and blockchain technologies especially around emerging ecosystem trends, products, and protocols
• Generate unique and insightful research content for internal and external distribution
• Develop research briefs on prospective investment opportunities
• Assess risks and merits of digital assets, with a particular focus on token design, network design, security, and utilisation
• Write and manage publications of reports and articles for both internal consumption and external publication
• Perform data analysis, visualization, econometric studies etc.
• Potentially liaison with external research partners including media, consulting firms and academia to grow the firm’s presence as an industry reputable platform

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance and data analytics preferred. PhDs are highly welcomed
• 3+ years of experience in research, content management in financial services. Experience in crypto & digital asset research is a plus
• Expert knowledge of the current digital asset ecosystem participants, blockchains, and underlying technological frameworks
• Familiar with data analytics and financial modelling
• Experience in a start-up environment is a plus
• Can work independently and under vague directions
• Enjoy working with a diverse group of people with different expertise
• English and Mandarin fluency required

This position is full-time and will be based in Hong Kong or remote. Pay will be competitive and based on talent and experience.
