Operations Analyst / Associate

Taiko Labs is at the forefront of blockchain innovation, developing the Taiko ZK-EVM, a Layer 2 solution that scales Ethereum by faithfully emulating its technical and non-technical characteristics. Our solution, an Ethereum-equivalent (Type 1) ZK-EVM, enhances the performance of Ethereum by supporting all EVM opcodes within a decentralized, permission-less, and secure Layer 2/3 framework.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Analyst to join our dynamic team. As an Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations team in various capacities, including research & project management in areas such as grants, governance and events.

About the role

• Collaborate with the operations team to manage and execute projects efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and potential strategic partnerships.
• Provide support on initiatives, such as Taiko grants, DAO set-up, event planning and execution.
• Offer operational support to facilitate the governance processes of the Taiko DAO, ensuring all stakeholders are well-informed and governance operations run smoothly
• Assist with relationship management with service providers, including negotiation and onboarding.
• Analyze operational processes and identify areas for improvement, implementing solutions to optimize efficiency & growth
• Generate reports and presentations to summarize project status, findings, and recommendations.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Proven experience across Operations, Product, Consulting, Strategy, Marketing, Finance or similar type of roles preferably in a crypto startup or technology-related environment.
• Pragmatic optimist who is excited about the future of technology and crypto, and has a natural desire to stay up-to-date with crypto markets and trends
• Familiarity with core components of blockchain infrastructure (Etherscan, Metamask, Multi-sig wallets, Dune dashboards, etc.)
• Self-starter with a scrappy ‘get it done’ mentality. Not afraid of owning processes and workflows end-to-end, and always looking for ways to streamline functions and improve outcomes
• Strong attention to detail with a natural desire to deliver high-quality output on quick timelines
• Comfortable with pivoting focus areas — one week you may be doing research on DAO governance, the next you are reviewing grant applications.
• Direct and succinct communicator (written and spoken) that can take on feedback and has a continuous desire to grow professionally and personally.

What would set you apart

• Familiarity with governance software and platforms.
• A strong understanding of governance and/or experience working in DAOs
• Familiarity producing short- and long-form crypto content (e.g. blog posts, tweet threads, etc.), and a following on social media
