The team

We are a closely aligned, highly motivated, agile team that holds each other to high standards. The core team currently numbers 8. We love what we do, and are looking forward to contributing to the future of DeFi at scale.

The team is based in Switzerland, New Zealand, Australia, Germany (Berlin), UK, Portugal and Singapore. We prefer that the candidate is based in Germany (Berlin) for this role or willing to relocate, but we accept applicants from all over the world (Asia and European timezones strongly preferred).

Junior Operations Manager

The role

We are looking for an organised and hungry individual, ideally based in Berlin, Germany. You will work directly with the project’s CEO, who is in Zug, Switzerland for most of the year, assisting him on a broad range of tasks covering protocol operations, sprint management, human resources, community engagement, furthering mStable’s decentralisation, and making industry leading swag.

We have an exciting roadmap of new products that will be coming to market over the next 12 months, and need someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and get involved. You must be comfortable working independently, and organised enough to manage your own workflows in response to the changing needs of the project.

Most importantly, we need an individual who is passionate about decentralised technologies, with a focused and up to date knowledge of what’s happening in DeFi. You must be able to tell us how and why you think the things we are building as a DeFi community will change the world over the next decade.

About you

• You’re passionate about crypto as a technological and cultural revolution and continually keep at the forefront of cryptocurrency and DeFi
• You are highly motivated, organised and analytical
• You’re able to work in a distributed team, which will often require working outside of conventional 9-5 hours

Responsibilities

• Support protocol operations (including people management, human resources, legal, accounting and community)
• Support CEO in sprint planning for the business development, marketing and product teams and ensure these teams deliver on planned timeframes
• Manage the team’s collaboration tools (Notion, Google Suite, Clubhouse, etc.)
• Manage the operational entity’s accounting and transparency reporting requirements for mStable stakeholders

Qualifications

• 2+ years or more of experience in a full time work environment, either in an office or remotely
• Passion for DeFi, and knowledge of basic crypto practices (wallet management, private key storage etc.)
• Experience creating and managing spreadsheets, slide decks and collaboration tooling

Nice to have

• Experience working in DeFi either for a project or as an individual
• An existing network within crypto
• Management experience
• Experience in consulting, banking or a related field
