Open source software delivers billions of dollars per year in economic value, but those contributing often aren’t properly incentivized or compensated for their work.

Gitcoin is where developers, and protocols come together to build and fund the open web. Our mission is to grow & sustain open source software, most commonly in web3 ecosystems. We have helped software developers raise over $18mm by enabling institutions and the community to fund each other with cryptocurrency. This means, gone are the days of relying on user-extraction (or ad!) models to build and sustain products that are so common in web2.

We are searching for an exceptional leader to guide our growth strategy and directly manage our go-to-market functions (sales, marketing, partnerships). Gitcoin has a community of hundreds of thousands of builders, all of whom are interested in growing sustainable web3 projects and technology. We are looking for someone with experience growing and scaling teams, defining new markets and understanding how to do so in a complimentary way to our community.

The ideal candidate is well versed in and passionate about building growth organizations, web3 technology, and has experience in professional leadership roles.

Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for all revenue, customer success and go-to-market (sales, partnership, marketing) functions
  • Analyze, Identify, build and execute a plan that enables us to grow our business in a way that makes us and our community proud
  • Understand and guide our partners on how to grow web3 ecosystems and inspire those around you to also do so
  • Lead and motivate staff to improve customer service with clients
  • Ensure our planning and strategy weights the opportunities for our community and our sponsors (each side of our two sided marketplace)
  • Cultivate lasting relationships with customers to grow customer loyalty and deliver outcomes for them that matter
  • Assess costs, competition, and supply and demand to identify selling prices and packages

About you

  • You have 10+ years experience working in technology organizations where you have learned the ropes, led teams, scaled revenue, and crafted, then delivered on comprehensive growth plans
  • You’re impeccably detail-oriented, are highly organized, and can both offer and accept help when the situation calls for it
  • You recognize that a plan is only as good as its execution, and you love to implement, not only to strategize
  • You build relationships everywhere you go, understand how to move over, under, around, and through adversity, and are relentlessly focused on delivering impactful outcomes
  • You’re a strong leader, capable of facilitating discussions, ably wielding analytics, and dispassionately evaluating the landscape while passionately advocating for change
