At the Celo Foundation we partner with organizations across the Celo ecosystem including partnering with cLabs, the team working on the open source platform Celo, whose mission is to build a financial system that creates the conditions for prosperity for all. Celo aims to remove the barriers for large-scale adoption of cryptocurrencies as means-of-payment.

Using a novel address-based encryption algorithm, the Celo protocol makes sending money as easy as sending a text. Additionally, Celo uses stable-value tokens pegged to fiat currencies, like the US Dollar, to minimize volatility.

Celo is an open protocol enabling many to participate in the system, even with a budget Android smartphone. The first application launched on the Celo platform, Valora, is a social payments and money transfer app, aimed at developing markets.

The Celo Foundation is seeking a Business Recruiter to join our People Circle. This person will energise end to end recruitment for the Celo Foundation, supporting the growth of our Circles which include; Ecosystem Growth, Events, DevRel, Finance & Investments, MarCom and People.

Not only will this person be focussed on the delivery side of recruitment, they will also lead our Talent Acquisition strategies to attract mission-driven, values aligned talent into the Celo Foundation. The ideal candidate is creative in their approach, embraces working at pace, and has a keen interest in web3.

You Will:

• Source, engage and manage candidate relationships while creating an inviting and meaningful candidate experience.
• Help strategy and execute on innovative ways to build a diverse candidate pipeline.
• Work closely with the team to drive the hiring plan and design the recruiting brand.
• Provide training and coaching on recruiting strategies, tools and practices.
• Continuously improve the candidate experience.

You Have:

• A passion for people, your role, and Celo’s mission.
• 4+ years of sourcing and/or recruiting experience.
• Experience recruiting talented candidates in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• An interest and natural curiosity to continue growing.
• Experience in Recruiting Operations.
• Understanding and desire to hire diverse talent.
• Relevant business and operations knowledge experience.
• Bonus: if you have experience working with a cryptocurrency company.
• Bonus: you may also have some experience hiring technical talent.
