We’re currently building out an incredible engineering team at ARCx, and we’re looking for our next few key people to help us build on-chain reputation. ⚡️

About Us 👻

Our mission is to build the first on-chain reputation protocol, allowing users to unlock benefits through their on-chain behaviour in DeFi. We achieve this through processing large amounts of data that gets scored through algorithms and uploaded to a user’s DeFi Passport. We have two products that we are building out with one product team for each product.

• DeFi Passport 💳: This is the product that allows users to access benefits on-chain through analysing their behaviour. We also allow 3rd party developers to use our infrastructure to create their own scores. This is a consumer facing team and about crafting a delightful product.
• ARCUSD 🏦: This is our credit scoring technology coupled with our loan issuance platform that allows users to borrow more through their borrowing behaviour. We focus on this since we believe that credit is the killer application of reputation. This team is primarily an infrastructure team and about robust engineering.

You’ll undoubtedly be wearing many hats while working alongside incredibly talented and driven individuals, fully remotely 🌏. We’ve raised over $8m till date from some of the industry’s top investors and are a team of 6 full time members and another 6 contractors/contributors/part-timers.

What we’re looking for

ARCx is a crypto startup approaching launch and the operational requirements for the core team are about to scale significantly. The Operations Manager role calls for a generalist who is comfortable taking an objective and executing on it with a high level of autonomy. The successful candidate will likely have 2+ years experience in professional services or similar role in which they’ve built a track record of delivering complex projects and producing actionable recommendations after conducting independent research. The Operations Manager will play an integral role supporting the founders in making key business decisions and in identifying strategic opportunities for ARCx to grow. In this role you will be required to communicate persuasively with external stakeholders and co-ordinate with team members from each area of the business.

This role does not require past crypto experience, only passion for the industry is needed. We’re excited to mentor the right candidate 😇

Responsibilities

• Ownership of day to day operations including scheduling meetings, taking minutes and following up on delegated actions, onboarding new team members, among other things
• Performing analytical problem solving which may involve financial modelling in excel, or analysis of industry trends to deliver insights and recommendations
• Producing documents for external stakeholders including pitch decks, modelling and business memos which deliver complex analysis, insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
• Staying up to date on industry trends in the Decentralized Finance and cryptocurrency space
• Complete complex strategic projects which may require cross-functional input or engagement with external stakeholders such as legal, design, copywriting, etc
• Contribute to the development of ARCx’s strategy and products by developing a deep understanding of our users’ needs and opportunities to better address them
• Monitor business metrics and OKRs on ongoing basis to identify opportunities for improvement
• Outreach and establishing relationships with potential partners and users of ARCx

What you should have

• 2+ years of fintech, financial services, investment banking or consulting experience
• Ability to work flexible hours (ideally in timezone close to Sydney, Australia)
• Ability to communicate with influence
• Experience taking qualitative or quantitative insights from research or data and turning them into actionable recommendations
• Excellent proficiency in written and verbal English communication
• Strong numeracy skills
• Good working knowledge of Excel
• Demonstrated ability to organise, plan and prioritise to deliver a complex project
• Accountable with a strong sense of ownership and who thrives under pressure
• Track record of working with team members from across a business to coordinate the execution of projects
