Social Media Manager (Twitter)

The TON Community is looking for an SMM Manager. This is a fully remote job.

This job is for candidates who speak English fluently. Knowing Russian and/or other languages would be an asset, but is by no means mandatory.

A minimum of two years of experience in SMM is required. If you have a strong personal crypto-twitter brand, this would also count.

This is a part-time position with irregular hours.

Start date: ASAP.

The TON Foundation is an organization that advances The Open Network blockchain and related products. TON is a novel, high-throughput, third-generation proof-of-stake blockchain designed by Nikolai Durov in 2017. For the first several years of its existence, it was developed by the Telegram team. In 2020, the TON project was handed over to the TON Foundation for further development and advancement.

The TON Community is the branch of the TON Foundation responsible for curating the content and overseeing the community’s growth. We run the TON community twitter and telegram channels.

As our first SMM manager, you will own the presence of the TON community on social media platforms, primarily Twitter, later expanding to other channels. You should be a self-starter, know what a content plan is and how to execute it, and be experienced interacting with crypto communities. Ideally, you’d be a crypto-twitter native.

Your responsibilities:

• Work closely with internal stakeholders (editorial, marketing, and developers) to create content plans and strategies around follower engagement
• Explain complex ideas and themes in simple language, as well as produce content that includes but is not limited to documentation, blogs, long reads, tutorials, and more — within tight deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of “crypto-twitter” is a plus.
• Maintain a content database

Job requirements:

• Experience in crypto writing and the industry’s narrative.
• 2+ years of SMM experience.
• Native written English, other languages (particularly Russian) helpful
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with very little oversight and work with multiple stakeholders to deliver results within tight deadlines.
• Basic graphic design/photo editing skills a plus
• Excellent references available.

The salary range for this position is well above-market. It varies based on how the successful candidate fits.
