Secret Network is the first blockchain with privacy-preserving smart contracts, live on mainnet since September 2020. Applications built on Secret Network utilize encrypted data without exposing it to anyone, even the nodes in the network.

Secret Network empowers developers to build decentralized, permissionless, privacy-preserving applications - Secret Apps. For blockchain technology to reach global adoption, users and organizations need granular control over their data. Private by default - transparent when needed - Secret Network’s programmable privacy delivers this level of control, securing, and scaling Web 3.0.

Secret Network is a decentralized ecosystem supported by many well-respected investors, including Blocktower Capital, Arrington Capital, Outlier Ventures, Fenbushi Capital, and Hashed, as well as key ecosystem contributors such as Secret Foundation and Enigma MPC and experienced node operators such as Figment and Staked.

Secret Foundation is looking for a Director of Marketing to help lead marketing strategy, branding, and communications for Secret Network and its growing ecosystem of applications, as well as execute on this strategic vision. You will partner closely with other community stakeholders (including network contributors and committees) to drive strong growth and solidify a distinct brand for a unique ecosystem.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and execute communications campaigns that tell the Secret Network story to multiple audiences: from highly technical developers to those unfamiliar with blockchain technology
  • Identify and execute marketing opportunities across multiple high-leverage channels
  • Collaborate with other projects and contributors in the space to produce content and execute co-marketing opportunities
  • Partner with the Secret Network community and its leaders to organize and complete awareness and education projects
  • Help oversee and scale the Secret Agent program to engage our most supportive community members
  • Manage and scale the Secret Network brand on social media, including Twitter, YouTube, and Telegram
  • Organize meetups, webinars, and other community and developer-focused events
  • Work with influencers to expand the audience and widen reach
  • Help oversee marketing strategy across geographies, including Asia, managing a community of local content creators
  • Participate in strategy discussions and actively engage with the community to understand users’ sentiment
  • Contribute to branding and positioning exercises including website design, messaging around new product lines, and more
  • Be metric-driven: streamline, actively monitor and regularly report progress across several defined metrics like TVL, number of users, active governance participants, and more.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years in growth marketing or product marketing, ideally with experience in the blockchain/cryptocurrency space
  • Familiarity with the blockchain and crypto ecosystem
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Experience working with external agencies and communities
  • Goal-driven and organized, focused on reporting and achieving defined metrics

Note: This role is eligible for a full-time salary, benefits, and token-based compensation.
