Brand Strategist

Hi there, we’re looking for a brand strategist to work on a project for a young and quickly growing crypto finance client.

First off, who are you?

We’re Quality Produce (QP), a branding, creative, and marketing-communications shop founded in 2016 as a spin-out of BitTorrent Inc’s internal marketing group. We’ve been championing decentralized technology, an open internet, and disintermediation for over ten years and have been at the forefront of blockchain, VR, crypto, and what is being framed as the metaverse for just as long. Though the buzzwords are being hijacked by opportunists, we are believers that a true Web3 will emerge and we intend to help shape it.

Ok, I think I got it. So what’s this project, and what would I be doing?

Our client launched fast, found success, and now sees the need to establish a coherent Brand Strategy that can strengthen both where they are now and their plans for growth. This Brand work includes:

• Mission/Mission/Values
• Positioning
• Messaging
• Persona
• Brand Architecture

While we would handle client relations, your role would be to lead workshops for each item above, resulting in a complete Brand Strategy for the company’s ecosystem (delivered as a deck).

You’ve got me interested - what are you looking for in a candidate?

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Knowledgeable on blockchain and crypto
• An expert in research, strategy, and copywriting
• Comfortable creating presentations and communicating ideas with clarity
• Curious and able to deal with ambiguity
• A fan of systems and process

And someone who has:

• 3-5 years experience in brand strategy at an agency
• A portfolio that clearly demonstrates your process in branding
• Advanced knowledge in Google Suite and Keynote

Anything else I should know?

We don’t just welcome decentralized work, we advocate for it. You’re welcome to work from anywhere in the world at whatever hours work best for you, provided the work gets done and you’re able to be on client calls.

In terms of payment, we’ve been through the hour-tracking big agency system and it sucks. We prefer to come up with a flat rate for the project that works for us both and can talk in detail there once we know you’re interested.
