Head of Marketing

We’re looking for a bold, visionary, and goal-driven Head of Marketing with a growth-hacker mindset to completely transform the PieDAO brand and recognition, scaling us from the early organic community to hundreds of thousands users globally. As Head of Marketing, you will be expected to own and direct the division, working closely with our Marketing Manager, Product Manager, Designer, Content creators, Growth and Strategy teams to devise a growth-oriented marketing plan.

PieDAO is building paradigm-shifting technology that is capable of completely transforming capital distribution and making financial freedom a possibility for billions of people across the globe. The ideal candidate needs to have a passion for the mission and a visionary, inspiring voice that will serve as a driving force for our community.

While some of our other openings require deeply specialised knowledge of crypto & blockchain industry, the primary requirement for this role is a solid experience (including deep knowledge of best practices) in product marketing and growth-hacking.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire marketing cycle from positioning through to product launches and reporting
• Work closely with Design to create compelling visual collateral to use in campaigns
• Manage content & campaigns calendar, leveraging the wider team where necessary
• Manage the relationship with a PR firm to ensure major announcements get maximum coverage
• Work with influencers to expand audience and widen our reach
• Oversee marketing strategy across geographies, including Asia, managing a community of local content creators
• Participate in strategy discussions and actively engage with the community to understand users’ sentiment
• Contribute to branding and positioning exercises including website design, messaging around new product lines and more
• Be metric-driven: streamline, actively monitor and regularly report progress across a number of defined metrics like TVL, number of users, DAO members, active governance participants and more.

Requirements

• A visionary individual with the ability to inspire change through communication
• Resourcefulness - you need to be a fast learner and quickly grasp key partnerships to forge and avenues that will bring the most amplification to our voice
• 5+ years in growth marketing or product marketing, ideally in DeFi or Fintech space
• Some familiarity with the blockchain and crypto ecosystem
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Experience working with PR agencies
• Being goal-driven and organised, managing dashboards and reporting across defined metrics
• Proven track record of using growth hacking techniques resulting in explosive growth

Nice to have

• 1+ years full-time experience in a blockchain based project or other involvement in decentralised communities
