Content and Community Manager

About this job

You will participate in managing the official Perpetual Protocol channels on Discord, Telegram and other platforms to help all members in the community achieve their goals with us. Also, you will be writing good content for announcements, protocol docs, and other marketing requirements.

Perpetual Protocol is an open source software project that builds and maintains a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform serving cryptocurrency investors and traditional finance traders alike. If you are fascinated by cryptocurrency and the future of finance, joining the Perpetual Protocol marketing team will put you at the forefront of a global trend that may be the most important of our era.

Your role will be to find ways to bring more users to the platform, and build and strengthen our community. You will work both as part of a tight-knit team, as well as an independent owner of individual projects. The scope of your work is limited only by your imagination and abilities.

In addition, by joining Perpetual Protocol, you are also joining a strong, positive-minded community of DeFi lovers from around the globe. You will both learn from them, and be their guide.

Responsibilities

• Managing Discord community, Telegram channel and other social media
• Writing good content & articles when needed
• Maintaining technical documentation
• Running the referral program
• Ideation and execution of other community campaigns
• Proof reading content from other colleagues

Basic Qualifications

• Enthusiastic about DeFi and cryptocurrency
• Experience in community management for open source projects
• Experience using cryptocurrency, including buying, selling, trading, wallet security practices, etc.
• Good English writing skills, can make complexity sound simple for everyone
• Knowledgeable about DeFi including explaining DeFi concepts and protocols, and troubleshooting DeFi user issues
• Native-level communication skills in English
• Positive thinking, professionalism and integrity

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience of community management for other DeFi projects
• Familiarity with Ethereum and DeFi community (e.g. Crypto Twitter)
• Understanding of finance, especially derivatives trading, e.g. futures and perpetuals
• Strong organizational skills
• Patience for endless questions from community members
• Strong learning skills, can learn new things in a short time
• Bonus: Strong second language
