Job Summary

Come grow an emergent DeFi community from the ground up with us. Jet Protocol is building out the borrow and lending ecosystem on Solana and we are looking for an experienced marketing director to help form and lead our branding, community and outreach efforts. Have you built a brand, created campaigns, engaged communities and generally served users of a blockchain product or service before? We should talk.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a growing team of community managers, evangelists and ambassadors.
• Think and plan strategically on a multi-year horizon while tracking and executing on important short-term tactical initiatives.
• Create and manage marketing campaigns.
• Build and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders in the industry. Plan and execute content strategy and roadmap.
• Be active in both Jet Protocol forums but also engaged with adjacent project communities.
• Produce media in addition to written words: video, podcasts, memes, etc.
• Plan for organic and high quality growth and adoption of Jet Protocol and its products.

Job Requirements:

• 5-10 years total work experience.
• 3-5 years experience minimum working in the blockchain industry within at least one reputable brand/company/protocol.
• An eye towards polish and detail with the ability to push projects towards completion.
• Public facing and current social media profiles (sorry, no pseudonymous individuals).
• Comfortable being a self-starter in a remote-first team.
• Organized and able to convey clearly how a project is progressing.
• Ability to take and give direct (but kind) feedback.
• Great communication skills whether written, verbal or otherwise.
• Cross-functional communication ability within a rapidly growing DeFi protocol.
• A very good sense of humor!

Other considerations

• Comfortable working in an emerging development ecosystem.
• Understanding of or experience with regulated financial industries.
• Open to any timezone, with ability to work around EST centric operations.
• Weekly standups with async communication, but team members can optimize meetings how they see fit.
• Willingness to opine on technical/product matters and offer ad hoc technical support to the community.
