Interchain is a 20-person company which works on core blockchain technology. We’re headquartered in Berlin, Germany, but our team stretches from New York, NY to Ulyanovsk, Russia. We keep in touch through Github, Slack, and Zoom, and meet in person periodically (when COVID permits). All in all, the software we develop secures billions of dollars in value across many different systems, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We strive to build world-class software while having plenty of laughs along the way.
As Marketing Lead of the Interchain Foundation, you will act as both an architect and a steward of the Interchain and Cosmos brands globally and work with teams across the ecosystem to design and execute key marketing strategies. You will both lead and collaborate with key stakeholders and build capabilities to ensure a consistent marketing strategy and accountable execution.
Activities include:
- Oversee and execute strategy on Interchain and Cosmos marketing initiatives that contribute to Cosmos ecosystem goals, including developer awareness and top of the funnel acquisition, consistent branding efforts, social media, PR, content, events, marketing operations, and more
- Align closely with community stakeholders to understand their needs, create go-to-market strategies, and create communication and collateral that reflects the Cosmos brand.
- Work with ecosystem product managers to ensure alignment on all new product feature announcements, launches, and marketing collateral
- Determine and track KPIs for marketing initiatives
- Motivate, mentor, and develop marketing support in companies across the Cosmos ecosystem.
- Lead annual and quarterly planning, keeping track of budget, and reporting on marketing initiatives’ performance, with a focus on ROI.
- Collaborate and lead across the Cosmos ecosystem. Bring your insights to cross-functional stakeholders across product, design, user experience, engineering, and executive leadership.
There are no hard requirements on previous experience, but ideally you have:
- 8+ years experience in marketing technical products.
- Experience in the blockchain space.
- Experience in a leadership role, building and managing a marketing organization with superior ability to recruit, retain, and motivate our existing team and future talent.
- Prior experience executing a short and long term go-to-market strategy at a high-growth company.
- Excellent communication skills - ability to prioritize and efficiently and transparently communicate marketing goals and results.
