About the Role

Zapper is looking for 2 engineering interns eager to contribute to Zapper’s goal of creating greater access to those looking to engage with Web3. The interns will do this by focusing primarily on Zapper DAO integrations; a feature that allows users to inspect DAOs, explore their tokens and token holders, voting history, on-chain treasury activity, and more, all through Zapper’s dashboard. Paired with a Zapper Mentor, the interns will develop their knowledge of DeFi protocols and how to interact with various blockchains. They’ll develop APIs to surface financial and other Web3 data to millions of monthly users, and build scalable infrastructure and data pipelines to enable product launches.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team environment, be present for agile ceremonies (standup, etc.)
• Understand product requirements and deliver on features with guidance and pair programming with senior peers
• Develop an understanding of how to build in the Web3 space (reading/writing to EVM compatible blockchains)
• Demonstrate ownership on features by shipping to production frequently, and providing support to resolve bugs

Qualifications

• Interest in Web3 and Blockchains is a must
• 1-2 years of school completed in a relevant field
• Beginner/intermediate knowledge in node.js, react.js, and javascript/typescript

Term

• Term: June 6 - August 26, 2022 (12 weeks)
• Location: Montreal
• Only Canadians and those eligible to work in Canada will be considered
• Zapper will cover relocation and accommodation cost for the duration for the term should the successful applicant not be based in Montreal
• Compensation: $10,000.00 CAD flat fee
