Working at Wintermute DeFi team

We are looking for an experienced Node Engineer in DeFi with strong fundamental DevOps experience, passion about DeFi, and interest in HFT, market making and crypto trading. At Wintermute, you will be responsible for integrating new chains right from the start. You will have the opportunity to get a deeper understanding of how different chains and the respective software clients work, and be responsible for setting up and optimising the infrastructure related to these venues, whilst also getting advice and guidance from very experienced developers and traders, including the founders/management team. You will get a lot of independence and responsibility right away, and you’ll learn at an unprecedented speed! No legacy systems, no corporate bureaucracy, no multiple levels of approvals. It is up to you to make an impact. You will act like an owner and your incentives will be completely aligned with those of the company!

What you will work on

A great advantage of this position is that it is varied, and it is also up to you to shape it in the direction that matches your talents and company needs. You will have the opportunity to help integrate chains and improve build processes; includes but not limited to: 1) Improving existing node monitoring systems 2) Implementing automatic maintenance and middleware layer 3) Troubleshooting node failures and issues to get a deep understanding of specific chains and their specificities, and improve the trading setup.

Hard skills requirements

• Software Development in one or more of these languages: Go, Rust, C++
• Experience setting up a blockchain node
• Experience working with popular cloud providers (AWS, GCloud, DigitalOcean)
• Experience working with node providers (Infura, Alchemy, QuickNode)
• Experience with Linux / Bash scripting
• Designing highly available systems with disaster recovery in mind
