Go Developer

Vulcanize Inc. has several openings for experienced Go Developers, at varying levels for full-time or part-time roles. These would be responsible for assisting with, and/or designing and implementing stable, secure, and robust solutions for some of the most challenging problems related to blockchain data availability. The ideal candidate is an autonomous individual with great time management skills that is as passionate about decentralization as they are about clean, high-performing code.

Requirements:

• Expert in developing backend services using Golang in a Linux server environment
• Experience working with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.)
• Track record of shipping code into a production environment
• Strong unit testing abilities and skills
• Excellent English communication skills
• Remote position. Must be located in Pacific, Central, Mountain, or Eastern time zones.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and develop backend architectures
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to deploy new infrastructure components both in the cloud and bare metal environments
• Analyze, identify, and mitigate bottlenecks in performance
• Improve monitoring of production services for critical conditions or warning signs

Nice to haves:

• Experience in cryptography, p2p systems, or blockchain development
• Experience contributing to or managing open source projects

Vulcanize Inc. is a prominent participant in the Cosmos, Ethereum, and Filecoin ecosystems, with one of our major initiatives being to increase the availability, verifiability, and interoperability of blockchain data. We are a remote organization based in the United States and are flexible to multiple ways of working together – whether it’s partnering with a development studio, bringing on full-time employees, or working with independent contractors.

We have a four-step application process:

1. You email us your application with your GitHub and resume/work portfolio
2. If that looks good, we will reach out to schedule a 30 minute screening interview
3. If that goes well, you will be invited to complete a coding challenge
4. If that goes well, you will be invited for a trial sprint with two weeks of paid work

If step 4 goes well, you will then be offered a full or part-time position based on mutual agreement.
