Voltz is one of the hottest and most eagerly anticipated protocols in DeFi. The team is operating in stealth mode right now. However, even without a public announcement about the protocol, DeFi teams, Traders and CeFi organisations are developing trading models in anticipation of the new primitive being launched.

Voltz Labs was started by Stanford and Oxford educated founders and is now supported by advisors and angels from many big-brand teams in DeFi (announcement to be made soon).

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a driven and relentless engineer with high standards and attention to detail to help build out the smart contracts that power Voltz. As a small core team, everyone you work with will be exceptional and exceptional standards will be expected from you in return.

As a Senior Smart Contract (Solidity) Engineer, you will be responsible for laying down secure development processes through architecting, writing, reviewing, and maintaining all parts of the Voltz Protocol’s smart contract stack. If you love DeFi, crypto, engineering, security, rigour and speed, then we’d love to hear from you.

Your key responsibilities

• Write Solidity smart contracts, scripts that deploy and interact with smart contracts
• Set and maintain efficient and secure development processes, ensuring the speed of development meets our goals without compromising on security
• Work extensively on the security of Voltz solidity smart contracts through audits, testing, formal verification, q/a, etc.
• Contribute towards the hiring of further engineers
• Collaborate proactively with the rest of the Voltz family to transform novel ideas into game changing DeFi products

The minimum qualifications

• 2+ years of experience writing high quality, secure and well tested Solidity contracts
• Experience with the design, testing, review, deployment and interactions with smart contracts that hold material funds
• Deep understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine and the broad decentralised finance ecosystem
• Exceptional academics and/or track record through your career to date

Qualifications that make your application stronger

• 5+ years of experience in another programming stack or language
• Understanding of Ethereum scaling solutions (e.g. L2s and side-chains)
• Background in formal verification, mathematics, cryptography
• Experience building a DeFi protocol
• Experience implementing complex maths in Solidity
• Knowledge and understanding of fundamentals of finance, particularly derivatives trading (interest rate markets)
