Valory is building a network platform for developers to build novel decentralised applications which have radically different and superior off-chain components to facilitate uniquely autonomous services.

Crypto has hit a stumbling block in its march towards a decentralised and superior digital economy for the mainstream. Applications are either built as overly simplistic smart contract-based apps or as fully web2-based. This is because developers lack the substrate for building more dynamic, robust, and open applications. That’s where we come in: we’re busy architecting new autonomous possibilities that will change blockchain services as we know them. We’d love you to join us.

Role

You’re an energetic, entrepreneurial person who loves to communicate and get things done. You can code and are eager to dive into blockchain and open-source technology full-time. You don’t need a technical degree: you can simply have some Python skills. Preferably you’ve also seen a hackathon (or similar) in action.

In this role, you’ll have the chance to ideate, create, and execute interactive and educational initiatives to engage and grow Valory’s (developer) community at large.

By working within the Community & Ecosystem team, you will have access to the brightest minds in ecosystem and community management to get input on your ideas.

You’ll be able to advance your knowledge of blockchain, FinTech, and open-source communities, in addition to developing and growing your skills in Agile methods of remote working, stakeholder relations and written communication.

You will:

• Help to recruit, inspire and manage contributors to further strengthen and multiply apps in our ecosystem
• Contribute to setting up and refining the Contributor Experience along with the Ecosystem and Community Managers
• Integrate with other functions – community, product, engineering – to maximise community awareness and interaction

Duties

• Assist in running the first Agent Dev Academy – an early education and ecosystem program set to build the initial cohort of passionate developers
• Ideate and collaborate to execute initiatives to target and attract new developers to build on Valory
• Assist in early and ongoing customer development
• Listen to and keep track of developers’ requirements and feedback learnings to founders, technical + product teams
• Seek new and more effective ways to communicate our platforms’ benefits to developers
• Write long and short form content to inform, educate and entertain on our blog, Twitter, Discord and other channels e.g. documentation

Requirements

• Energetic, gets things done and evidence of strategic thinking
• Some experience coding
• Able to stay responsive with inbound communications
• Crisp written and verbal communication skills in English
• Keen desire to dive into blockchain/crypto full-time
• Appreciation for the utility of memes in effectively spreading complex ideas

Desired

• 1+ years of experience of developer relations in some form
• Experience in community building
• Strong appreciation of & desire to create dank memes
• Strong preference for time zone between Western Europe and India (UTC -2 to +6)
