Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Tempus is a protocol for secondary markets on all forms of variable yield (lending, staking and LP’ing) in DeFi, which offers an on-chain alternative to interest rate swaps in traditional finance. It allows users to speculate on and trade yield in the short or longer term, or to obtain a fixed rate or leveraged exposure to that variable yield, in a fully trustless way.

About You

You are:

• Motivated by owning the technical side of a DeFi platform and joining the leadership team to help drive overall company success
• A strong full-stack stack engineer with extensive experience in all aspects of software engineering, including smart contracts
• Able to flow between owning the overall technology strategy, research, and writing code day-to-day
• Hungry for impact, growth and motivated by constant learning
• Results-driven and capable of executing in a fast-paced environment

Things You Will Do

• Be a strategic thought partner to the CEO and help build out the competitive advantage through technology
• Lead the evolution of our technical stack, development practices, and standards for coding
• Recruit, vet and onboard new engineers to the team and develop a strong remote engineering culture
• Develop the core product along with new features to drive the next waves of growth

What you’ll need

• At least three years working as a senior full-stack developer, with at least one year working on a top DeFi project
• A detailed mathematical and technological understanding of different AMM models and up to date thorough technical knowledge of DeFi protocols
• Ability to recruit a top-class engineering team and develop top technical talent
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Experience architecting, developing and launching software products from zero to one
• Experience in an early-stage startup or leading entrepreneurial teams Ability to operate and lead effectively in a remote setting
