Senior Backend Developer

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic, collaborative, supportive team of engineers, and you will be responsible for developing Reneverse API(s) which provide ways of integrating with Reneverse managed NFTs, DeFi in multi-chain blockchain networks, as well as managing users, game assets and assets marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend API(s) and the underlying database
• Lead and make software architecture, system and technology decisions together with the team
• Use modern frameworks to develop REST APIs
• Taking ownership of the tasks and write clean, straightforward, testable, maintainable and scalable code
• Be proactive in identifying problems and finding the best technical approaches and solutions
• Write documentation, design flow diagrams, and review PRs
• Collaborate with the Product team to define development sprints

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in backend and API development
• Polyglot programmer, JavaScript/TypeScript/Java/Kotlin/Python is a plus
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field (Helps, but not necessary)
• Good experience in developing highly interactive, performant, well-tested web applications
• In-depth understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
• Strong MongoDB experience, ideally with some sharding experience
• Experience with in memory databases such as Redis
• Experienced with CI/CD pipelines
• Experienced with Containerization or Kubernetes
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in the English language (both written and spoken)

• GraphQL experience
• Web3 development experience
• Experience working on distributed systems
