About Rarity Society

Rarity Society is the first ever fashion DAO that offers its members 1-of-1 physical fashion items bundled with NFTs. Our mission is to bring NFTs into mainstream pop culture and build the next-generation community of hypebeasts on the metaverse.

Rarity Society has garnered support by a handful of celebrities and influencers, and is on track for an explosive launch for season 1. As the first core frontend engineer of the team, you will help curate Rarity Society’s website and dapp that will interface with the biggest fashion icons of web3, working alongside our team members including our founder RarityJan and tech lead Leeren.

Role

• Architect, build, and maintain the frontend infrastructure for Rarity Society’s website and auctioning dapp
• Join a talented team passionate about web3 in building out the innovation frontier for fashion and NFTs
• Become a technical leader of the world’s first social + fashion DAO
• Learn about web3 best practices, DAO curation, and the fashion ecosystem

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with HTML / CSS / Javascript / Typescript
• Proficiency in React and frameworks such as Next.js / Styled Components
• Basic knowledge of CI / CD and related tooling like Vercel
• Experience with ethers.js
• Good understanding of how the EVM works
• Experience in web performance and image optimizations
• Exposure to working with designers on Figma
• Comprehensive understanding of NFTs and DeFi
• Intense curiosity for learning to build in web3

Nice to Have

• Passion for fashion, especially streetwear
• Familiarity with Solidity and tooling frameworks such as Solidity, DappTools, or Foundry
• Exposure to blockchain development platforms like Alchemy
• Exposure to Cloud Computing platforms like GCP
• Experience with IPFS or Arweave
• Experience with building NFT projects
• Lives in Los Angeles
