What is Onramper?

🔥 🚀 We build the next level onramping toolbox that catalyzes crypto pioneers to offer a smarter experience.

We are a fast-paced scale-up in the Netherlands, enabling access to web3 by bridging the world of Fiat Currencies (Euro, Dollars, etc.) with the world of Cryptocurrencies.

We provide an embeddable widget and API for crypto-native trading platforms, apps and websites so their users can buy cryptocurrencies when needed on those platforms. By partnering with the best fiat-to-crypto payment gateways and presenting them in a single plugin for crypto-platforms such as wallets, DeFi apps and trading platforms, their users can then buy crypto easily in-platform when needed. This is one of the most important intersections for web3/meta.

The responsibility of our Data Team

Our data team has a unique opportunity: access a transaction dataset no other industry player has access to through state of the art tooling and enjoy the creative freedom to deploy key insights into the core of our product development. We use data as the core of our product development, unlike most other organisations that just run a data reporting team. Are you up for the challenge?

Your contribution to Onramper in this role

• Work in close cooperation with our main data analyst(s) as the core data team
• End-to-end responsible for data infrastructure stack and tooling, managing the single source of truth for data analysis
• Productionize our data insights into live product capabilities by creating the rule set that informs our product to increase performance
• Keep track of new data technology developments and solutions that could impact our architecture. Onramper will rely on you to suggest infra solutions and be a thought leader when it comes to data pipelines
• Experiment with advanced analytics / machine learning models
• Be entrepreneurial and pro-actively find insights that help us make better products
• Work with different functions in our organisation that have critical data insight needs

Job requirements

Required relevant experience

• You are an explorer, not waiting to be giving tasks but tearing through everything there is to know about our business based on our state-of-the-art data stack
• Data engineering expert, having had end-to-end responsibility for data infrastructure
• Solid experience deploying models into production for live interaction with product
• Building analysis models, strong SQL skills
• You should be able to transparently explain algorithms to other stakeholders in the business
• Good communication skills in English
• You want to join a high-paced startup that’s bridging the traditional financial world with the world of crypto

It’s a plus if you

• Are familiar with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift or Google BigQuery
• Worked with data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau or AWS Quicksight
• Have data science experience, for example data science / machine learning platforms like Sagemaker, Jupiter Notebook, Databricks, DataIKU
• Have experience with ELT tools like Fivetran, Matillion, or AWS Glue worked in transaction-driven businesses before
