We are a closely aligned, highly motivated, agile team that holds each other to high standards. We in the core team all love what we do, and are looking forward to contributing to the future of DeFi as we scale.

The team is based in Switzerland, New Zealand, Australia, Germany (Berlin), UK, Portugal and Singapore. You are welcome to work in these countries or remotely. We strongly prefer candidates in the European or Asian timezone.

The role

We are looking for a talented developer with knowledge and expertise across the Web3 stack (Ethereum, Solidity, ethers.js, The Graph) and the Ethereum ecosystem – ideally with a focus on DeFi.

You will help us take mStable to the next level by designing and developing protocol improvements, integrating with leading DeFi platforms, contributing to decentralized governance and executing on our packed roadmap of features and fixes.

About you

• You’re passionate about and continually keep at the forefront of DeFi & cryptocurrency, and have a working understanding of common DeFi mechanisms and economics
• You have an eye for details and take pride in writing clean, quality, maintainable code
• You contribute effectively as part of a lean, fast moving team
• You can work with a team mostly in European timezones

What you’ll do

• Contribute to dApp development on mStable apps (encompassing accessing the protocol, staking, governance, and future products)
• Develop, test and deploy protocol improvements and optimisations on mStable as we move forward on our roadmap
• Develop integrations with partner projects across DeFi and CeFi, while helping make mStable as interoperable as possible by creating clean interfaces and libraries
• Develop high-quality code that is maintainable, performant and accessible

What you’ll need

• Provable experience delivering high quality, functional code running on or interacting with Ethereum
• Strong experience in languages such as TypeScript and Solidity, and modern frameworks and tools like React and Hardhat
• Experience interacting with the Ethereum blockchain and working with ethers.js or similar
• An understanding of DeFi mechanisms and related utilities, e.g. liquidity pools, AMMs and bonding curves, DAOs, etc

Nice to have

• You have a mathematical brain and a knack for solving difficult problems
• A background in economics, finance, banking, or similarly relevant field
• Experience working in the DeFi ecosystem; or an avid DeFi user actively participating in the space, with a clear understanding of the financial concepts involved
• Experience with decentralised governance tools (e.g. Snapshot, Gnosis Safe, Colony/Aragon/etc)
• Understanding of Ethereum 2.0, rollups, meta-transactions and other important Ethereum concepts
• Experience contributing to or managing open source projects
