Backend Developer - Node / TypeScript / Serverless / AWS

Loda is effectively designing two solutions, that will tackle both collateralized and uncollateralized lending. Uncollaterised consumer lending is a major problem still yet to be solved in the defi space, and we feel uniquely placed to achieve this.

In effect, Loda thinks of itself as an inside-out banking solution.

We are looking for a Backend Developer to develop our new “greenfield” Blockchain based Fintech / DeFi platform from scratch, with no legacy implementations to deal with. The idea is to implement the backend services in Typescript and deploy them on AWS, either in a docker container on AWS Fargate or as a serverless Lambda service. We are looking into AWS Aurora Serverless and/or DynamoDB as our database.

Although this role is pretty technical, we would definitely look for somebody who shares the excitement and enthusiasm about Blockchain and DeFi with us.

Responsibilities

• Development of NodeJS based backend services
• Development of relational/non-relational databases
• Development of Swagger/OpenAPI based RESTful APIs
• Development of JSON-RPCs based on WebSocket or IPC
• Unit and integration testing
• Setting up, using, maintaining a CI/CD environment to deploy on AWS

Requirements

• Native level fluency in English (spoken and written)
• 3+ years professional development experience
• Expert knowledge of NodeJS
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
• Expert knowledge of HTTP, WebSockets, JSON-RPC
• Advanced knowledge of Database design
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services
• Advanced knowledge of Git (and GitHub)

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Ethereum Blockchain
• Experience with Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
