Blockchain Backend Engineer – Remote

Litentry is a decentralized cross-chain Identity Aggregator that enables linking user identities across multiple networks. We are a vibrant and friendly blockchain startup founded in early 2019 in Berlin, Germany. Litentry received a grant from the Web3 Foundation at an early stage and then completed a million-dollar seed round of funding from FBG, Candaq, Altonomy, and BlockVC.

As a Backend Engineer you will be an integral part of our software development team and contribute to our two product lines, especially to MyCryptoProfile. The job is completely remote and has a flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain NodeJS/ExpressJS applications
• Managing hosting environments in AWS
• Troubleshooting and debugging
• Developing ideas for new programs or features

Requirements

• Experience with Node.js / Typescript
• An interest in decentralised technology and Web 3
• Familiarity with React.js
• Familiarity with all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Ability to write testable code
• You are a quick learner and problem solver

Nice to haves

• Familiarity with functional programming
• Hands-on experience with Rust
• Work experience with the Substrate ecosystem and build related products
• Being an open-source contributor
• NFT familiarity
• Data indexing experience

Where we work

Most of our team members choose to work from their homes. However, we currently also offer employees to use our shared office spaces in Berlin, Hangzhou or Munich, if they live in one of these cities and prefer to work in an office setting. We currently have people in Germany, China, the UK, and France, but we are also open to hiring people who would like to work from other countries within the time zones UTC and UTC+10.
