About Lemma

• Lemma is building a stablecoin backed by delta neutral strategies. It is the first stablecoin that is fully decentralized, 100% capital efficient and only backed by ETH.
• The first strategy we implemented is called basis trading. Basis trading is a delta neutral strategy that has historically generated some of the highest risk adjusted returns in crypto.
• Lemma will then use the tech built for the stablecoin to create the first defi prime brokerage. You can think of it as a decentralized way to cross margin perpetual swaps + options + other derivative primitives.
• Lemma team’s work experience includes engineering & design @ Matcha (0x product), quant @ Goldman Sachs, product @ Ocrolus, engineering @ Instadapp, Uber, Idle, Catnip
• We recently raised ~7.3 million USD from Tier 1 investors that include Dragonfly, Standard Crypto, Nascent, Multicoin, Coinbase Ventures, Robot Ventures (Tarun Chitra + Robert Leshner) and from strategic partners and angels including Wintermute, GSR, Woo Network/Kronos, Perpetual Protocol, MCDEX…

About the job

We are looking for a head of quant to work closely with the co-founders and the engineering team to lead trading and risk management at Lemma.

Initial Responsibilities

• Creating & backtesting delta neutral derivative strategies
• Implementing those strategies with the help of our engineers
• Engaging with the community on risk management & research
• Build models and frameworks to better understand risks

Minimum qualifications

• 2 years working at a hedge fund or defi protocol
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
• Solidity fundamentals & blockchain basics: transactions, wallets, smart contracts, double spend, transactions pool, mining
• Have a general understanding overview of current defi landscape: DEX, aggregators, main protocols
• Experience interacting with defi protocols - lending, staking, trading
• English fluency & great communication skills

Preferred qualifications

• Master or PHD in a quantitative discipline (math, computer science, economics…)
• Professional cryptocurrency futures & options trading experience
• Knowledge about different ETH L2s and other L1s (Solana, Avalanche, Near…)
