About Lemma

• Our first product is a tokenized derivatives strategy called basis trading. Basis trading is a market neutral strategy that has historically generated some of the highest risk adjusted returns in crypto.
• We plan on using this strategy to then build a 100% capital efficient, decentralized stablecoin and a DeFi prime brokerage. You can think of the DeFi prime brokerage as a decentralized perpetual swap + options + other derivative primitives aggregator.
• Lemma’s team experience includes quant @ Goldman Sachs, product @ Ocrolus (named 2020 fastest growing fintech in the US), engineering @ Uber, Amazon, Instadapp, Catnip
• We very recently raised a very significant seed round from Tier 1 investors. Not announced yet - we can tell you over a call, but trust us, you’ve heard of them ;).

About the job

As our first full stack engineer, and a core member of the engineering team would be working directly with the founders on product development. You’ll have an opportunity to work across frontend + web3 integrations and a little later on on backend applications (such as building SDKs).

Responsibilities

• Build frontend components for Lemma products
• Link the frontend components to our smart contracts using web3 libraries
• Ensure that frontends are tested thoroughly
• Work in close collaboration with the team on product architecture and design
• Work closely with our quant & data science team to ensure the protocol’s path to profitability

Minimum qualifications

• Senior-level React/Redux (or other front-end library) development experience
• Familiarity with databases and full-stack frameworks (NodeJS/Express, CSS, HTML, Typescript)
• Passion for learning new technologies and tackling novel technical problems
• Excellent English communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with Solidity, EVM, Rust, and/or smart contracts
• Experience working with Figma and UI/UX experience more generally
• General knowledge about derivatives
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or higher
