Who we are

Kimberlite is a tehcnology company founded in 2021 with the purpose of utilizing distributed ledger technology to add impact to the FinTech space so that alternative asset investing is more efficient, accessilble, and transpareny.

Product

We are building a platform for US accredited investors to invest into shares of digital precious stones (backed by physical precious stones in custody) issued as securities on Ethereum.

How it works

US investors crowdfund for the asset. If the crowdfunding is successful, the asset is digitalized and shares are distribured according to the investment, whilst the real asset is placed in third-party vault custody.

Asset

Our initial asset offering are collectible items such as rare precious stones, but this can expand to watches, jewllery and other auction like assets.

Mission

Our mission is to become an international marketplace to connect deal sources and borrowers to individual and institutional investors.

The Role

The Head of Architecture role is one of the most important positions at Kimberlite that is involved in progressing the overall business strategy because technology is at our center. Below are some of the challenges you will help to tackle:

• Work alongside the Exec team to identify, define, and clarify the scope/issues of the business & software requirements;
• Present reports to CEO and stakeholders regarding technology budgeting;
• Build and develop architecture from scratch;
• Develop the product from MVP onwards;
• Decide upon and innovate the approaches and produce product specifications;
• Ensure that the technology delivered is fit for purpose, cost-effective and scalable;
• Ensure compliant technological operations and overseeing of cybersecurity;
• Collaborate on hiring & managing a team of 1-3 engineers;
• Everything third-party vendor relate (negotiate, liaison, monitor, report);
• Get dirty with coding, when delegation is not available!

Who you are?

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT;
• Minimum 6 years of experience in full-stack;
• Minimum 2 year of experience in blockchain;
• Education (optional, but preferred) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, and/or similar qualifications;
• Skills covering a range of languages, frameworks, servers, databases, and other technologies, such as but not limited to, Python, Go, Node, React, JavaScript, AWS, Infura, Redis Lerna, Docker, Kubernetes, Sockets, Blockchain (including side/off-chains), smart contracts and more;
• Ability to produce software architecture from scratch;
• Ability to do code and do code reviews;
• Ability to work independently and as a team;
• Experiencing recruiting, overseeing and mentoring engineers;
• Produce software requirements, release plans, budgeting in professional English;
• Can-do and pivoting attitude;
• English language Fluent/Native;
• Passion in FinTech, blockchain, start-ups, as well as interest in joining longer-term projects;
• A big plus if you have worked in blockchain, FinTech, Banking/Finance, SaaS, and similar sectors!
