Job Summary

Develop and maintain the frontend codebase and testing suite. Integrate Solana’s wallet set: Ledger, Sollet (with extension), Solong, Phantom, MathWallet, and others as they emerge. Find new ways to present chain market data to end users, uniquely answering the question “how can we translate the rapidly changing chain data into actionable data on the frontend?”

Familiarity with the common challenges handling transactions on the frontend: handling failed or slow transactions, cryptographic signing, auto refreshing blockchain data, and similar. Prior experience interacting with decentralized apps is appreciated. Comfortable reaching out to other projects in the space to share ideas and lessons learned.

The optimal candidate understands the adversarial nature of markets, has an interest in decentralized finance systems, and a proficiency in software engineering. Neither markets nor crypto experience is required, though we would like for the candidate to be able to articulate thoughtful arguments for a relevant concept. Software engineering proficiency is required.

Solana is an emerging chain, it’s dev infrastructure is not yet as mature as Ethereum’s, and as such, we anticipate troubleshooting and debugging will occupy more time than usual. We are looking for a candidate who can manage these ambiguities in a distributed work environment, but also knows when to ask for help.

For senior roles, we have the additional expectation that the candidate can delegate and manage their team’s time effectively in a remote, autonomous work environment.

Tech preferences, in order of importance

• Ability to write Javascript/Typescript/Python code.
• Prior experience using Solana-web3.js, or any other web3 library.
• Willingness to learn basics of Rust to improve interaction with backend devs.
• DeFi / blockchain experience is appreciated, but not required.

Other considerations

• Comfortable working in an emerging development ecosystem.
• Open to any timezone, with ability to work around EST centric operations.
• Daily standups, but team members can optimize meetings how they see fit.
• Willingness to opine and offer ad hoc support to the community in Discord & Telegram, time permitting.
