Data Engineering at Jet Protocol:

Jet is building the next generation of fixed rate lending and margining in DeFi and we are looking for a Data Engineer. As a Data Engineer, you will be building and maintaining a data pipeline from the blockchain to a SQL and/or document based databases to eventually a data warehouse. Also, you will be building APIs so that users and other applications can retrieve, use, analyze, and display this data.

What you’ll be doing

• Architecting and building data pipeline that queries on chain data and inserts into SQL and/or document-based database(s)
• Modifying Jet Protocol’s Solana programs to emit data for the data pipelines
• Creating data schemas and ERD’s based on the relationship of Jet Protocol’s blockchain based data
• Processing and representing on-chain data with different degrees of finality
• Building APIs for consumers of this data
• Writing Python code
• Providing technical leadership in the data domain

You should apply to this role if ALL of the following apply to you:

• 5+ years of experience designing engineering solutions for a given problem
• Experience with SQL databases, document databases, and cloud storage
• Experience writing Python code
• Experience designing database schemas for transactional and analytical consumption
• Experience architecting and building Data Pipelines and ETL
• Experience coding in at least one of the following languages: Rust, Python, Typescript
• Excited to solve problems efficiently, simply, and with utmost quality
• Excited to get into the nitty gritty of the Solana blockchain and the Jet Protocol Products
• Good written and verbal skills
• Excited to work collaboratively with teams to solve problems

You are an exceptional candidate for this role if you have:

• Experience working with blockchains, especially Solana
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience leading a Data Engineering team or project
