Back End Developer for an NFT Marketplace

Impact Theory is a freakishly ambitious LA-based digital studio, committed to telling stories of empowerment and human potential. We currently produce a wide variety of scripted, unscripted, and digital content for OTT streamers, YouTube, Spotify, WEBTOON, and our own internal online learning platform. Role And Responsibilities:

• Extensive experience in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL for database - TypeORM for ORM
• Excellent knowledge of how to integrate with Ethereum and Solidity
• Experience with ERC-1155
• Strong ability to learn and execute - this individual will be taking over a partially completed project due to a health issue with our previous developer (previous developer will be minimally available to help provide insights on the architecture)
• Stay on the bleeding edge of the latest NFT/Blockchain trends, best practices and technologies
• Collaborate with broader team to deliver on company goals
• Provide constructive feedback

Preferred Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role
• Excellent knowledge of the Blockchain - specifically Ethereum and Solidity
• Deep experience with various coding languages
• Can be located anywhere but must be available to overlap the Pacific time zone for 3-4 hours within the 7am-9pm PST window
• This is a 2-3 month full-time position with the possibility for extensions
• Excellent multitasking skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field

It’s written in the React framework on the frontend (NextJS library, MobX for state management) and JavaScript/TypeScript for backend, PostgreSQL for database, TypeORM for ORM. JavaScript/TypeScript is the main language for both frontend and backend.

We use AWS, so you will need to be familiar with AWS and IPFS architecture.

For the smart contracts, we will need you to be very experienced in Solidity as our contracts will be fairly complex.

Compensation: $65 - $110/hr based on experience.
