About the Role

CISO-as-a-Service is one of Halborn’s top priority services. We’re seeking 1-3 powerhouse CISOs to grow and build an expanded practice to build best practices for the world’s leading blockchain protocols and centralized financial institutions. The right candidate will be offered a full-time salary minimum of $220,000 and equity. Perks include unlimited PTO, opportunities for travel and bonuses.

What You Get To Do Every Day

• Develop and communicate a risk-based and data-driven strategy and roadmap for several high profile blockchain protocols. with c-suite, engineering and customers.
• Effective communicate and align with key stakeholders including c-suite, engineering and customers.
• Provide beyond an exceptional level of service to our clients.
• Become a role model of Halborn Core Values.
• Coach and encourage others to model these values.
• Oversee the management of unified offensive security projects.
• Lead initiatives to build control framework to integrate and normalize the wide variety and ever-changing requirements resulting from a fast paced industry.
• Lead onboardings and new security project strategy for select projects.
• Oversee the approval, training, and dissemination of policies, procedures, standards, controls, and guidelines
• Build, hire and retain a security team of top engineering talent
• Monitor industry trends and evolving threats with vulnerabilities, monitor control techniques
• Keep Management & Board informed about related security risks and implications for the enterprise

Requirements

• A passion to learn and work in the blockchain industry
• While previous experience is not required, it would be preferable.
• 10 + years of experience in the cybersecurity industry
• Working in a fully remote workforce

Nice to Haves:

• Security Certifications like CISSP OWSE OWSP CRISC GAWN GWAPT OSCE
• Having owned and operated a business prior
• Experience professionally or casually learning about, working in, contributing to cryptocurrency / blockchain / bitcoin / ethereum related projects.
• An MBA
• Experience successfully working with distributed teams across time zones will be a big plus.
