About the Frontend Engineer role

We are looking for an experienced, design-obsessed, frontend software engineer to help us build the next generation of the Greenwood Protocol. You will gain ownership over our existing suite of web products, as well as the ability to influence the creation, design, and execution of future products. You will be responsible for ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience across borrowing interfaces, analytics pages, documentation portals and more.

What you’ll achieve

• Create trustworthy user experiences that are simple, intuitive, and reliable
• Build, test, and ship user-facing code using modern practices, including reusable components and frontend libraries
• Create wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity designs, and translate them into high-quality code
• Work closely with Smart Contract Engineers to connect UI elements to Greenwood protocol contracts

Skills/Requirements

• A deep understanding of the architecture of modern client-side React applications
• Proven experience in implementing web frontend projects using React stack: React, Redux, JavaScript, CSS
• Experience with interface design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe)
• Experience designing products from mockup to completion
• Basic understanding of Git commands
• Basic understanding and experience working with Web3
• Portfolio showcasing your user-obsessed design work and coding abilities

Nice to have

• Passion for DeFi and/or crypto
• Familiarity with the Web3 frontend stack (web3.js, ethers.js, etc.)
• Knowledge of TypeScript paired with React/Redux
• Experience with Solidity or Vyper
• Degree in computer science
