Software Engineer - Algorithmic Trading

Global Income Coin (GIC) is looking for a software engineer to help realize our vision of giving every living human on earth a dollar per day of income. We’re launching a new coin called GLO, intended to be used for payments just like the dollar or the euro. As adoption grows, we can slowly create additional money and give this away for free, to people directly.

In this role you will be responsible for reducing GIC’s exchange rate volatility through code. As GIC is in its infancy you will have the opportunity to create the technological trading foundation that will make or break GIC’s vision.

You will join a fully remote team (members currently based out of San Francisco and Amsterdam) working towards launching Global Income Coin in early 2022.

Ideal candidate ships

Our ideal candidate has the following characteristics:

• Experience implementing algorithmic trading strategies
• Experience interacting with blockchain technology and external APIs
• Strong computer science foundation
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
• 2+ years experience in a (crypto) trading environment
• Excited about creating something entirely new
• Self-starter that takes ownership
• Embraces full remote work
