IT Systems Engineer / Junior Developer

Role:

Your role as IT Systems Engineer / Junior Developer with EmergentX is to work alongside creative, engineering and leadership teams to build, maintain and support our rapidly expanding infrastructure and IT systems.

Reporting directly to EmergentX group Head of Technology, you will have a key role in deciding the best practices and systems to use for multiple emerging start-ups. You will also have opportunity to learn new development skills for micro projects and support ongoing developments. Our initial projects include but are not limited to asset tokenization, decentralized finance and banking, chain analysis and crypto wallet solutions.

Some of your responsibilities in this hybrid role will include:

• Manage all ‘IT tools’, including Microsoft exchange, emails, teams, office.
• Configure IT systems, applications, and tools to ensure security and best practice.
• Support and administrate the group’s websites, including DNS, hosting, updating and continuous development.
• Co-develop micro applications and projects to automate business flows.
• Co-develop prototypes and experiments through to production applications and services.
• Play a key role in identifying, testing, and supporting blockchain technologies.
• Work cross-functionally with Design, UI, Product and Engineering teams to define and improve our IT system and Operations.
• Help contribute towards open source and online development and crypto communities.

Requirements:

• A crypto user with a passion for blockchain technology, up to date with the Ethereum and DeFi space.
• IT Systems administration or DevOps background.
• Some junior development experience in creating prototypes, mock-ups, or demo apps.
• Knowledge and understanding of how cloud services such as Microsoft Teams works.
• Understanding of APIs and how they are used.
• Experience using Amazon Web Services such as EC2, S3, CloudFront, Route 53.
• Willing to absorb and learn.
• Motivated to join a remote start-up working environment and willing to dedicate full-time to EmertgentX projects.
• APAC time zone required.
