About DIA

DIA (Decentralised Information Asset) is an open-source, financial information platform that leverages crypto economic incentives to source and validate data and oracles. The DIA platform provides the infrastructure for market actors to supply, validate, use and share financial data.

Founded in 2018 as a Swiss-based non-profit association, DIA’s mission is to democratise access to financial data, similar to what Wikipedia has done in the broader information space with regard to central encyclopaedias. DIA’s data sources and methodologies are transparent and publicly accessible for everyone. This will create a level playing field and break down barriers to entry for both the traditional and decentralised financial markets.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will span from maintenance of deployed software to administration of our clusters and database. It will include deep interaction with product development and engineering.

• Contribute to maintaining and automating our deployment infrastructure
• Continuously improve our product and its operations
• Implement monitoring and alert systems for new features
• Be part of the development lifecycle from design, development, quality assurance, launch, and iteration
• Deploy and run our software so that it always remains scalable and serviceable

Requirements

• Extended knowledge of container technologies like docker and deployment on cloud providers, e.g., IBM Cloud
• Experience with Linux server administration
• First experience in object-oriented programming with Go, our main backend programming language
• How Ethereum works on a technical side
• Experience in working with Jira or similar project management tools
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Can learn new technologies quickly and understand a wide variety of technical challenges to be solved
• You settle for only the best, deliver diligently and on time and are constantly up to date about the newest product trends in the market

Desired skills & experience

• Worked as part of a systems administration team
• Interacted with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure etc)
• Managed quality in solutions within container orchestration systems (Google Container Engine, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Bachelors, Masters or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
