You will:

• Implement, test, and audit the portfolio management and stability analysis part of the Celo protocol
• Help build our trading infrastructure in Python (Numpy, scipy, jupyter, Flask/Django) on GCP
• Build on trading Rest, Websocket and FIX (Financial Information eXchange) APIs
• Help build the trading dashboard
• Contribute to code for custody infrastructure
• Work with other senior engineers to contribute high level decisions about the Celo protocol and architecture
• Help to hit product milestones by writing high quality, well tested code
• Help communicate and implement best practices across the engineering team
• Author detailed technical specifications
• Perform and participate in code reviews
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Collaborate with product and design teams

You have:

• A strong passion for Celo’s mission
• Ability to write high quality, well tested code
• Experience in algorithmic crypto trading and an economic understanding of crypto markets
• Ability to grow and adapt to a rapidly evolving technology stack
• Strong experience developing production software
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions
• Experience building software that is reusable, extensible, and modular
• A passion for testing and achieving high test coverage
• Enthusiasm to work in a startup environment
• Bonus: Background is distributed systems, cryptography, or programming languages
• Bonus: Knowledge of Solidity and the EVM and knowledge of quantitative finance
